They made it known where they were going or had been. It's a big deal to go half way around the world for anybody. 100 years ago, it would have took weeks normally.....

Born in Syria and fled to Europe because of the civil war, she'll be representing a small team of Refugee Olympic Athletes (ROA) under the Olympic flag, at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the swimming competitions.
