Yup. There’s only 12 teams and 12 players per roster. Some teams only have 11 so they can pay their top players more w/o exceeding the salary cap.

The problem going get worse b/c there’s about to be an influx of young talent in the league and they’ll have a fanbase too kind of forcing the wnba to put them on tv. Maybe some male athletes or something that want ownership try to expand the league.
