Naw, it’s racist punks, plain and simple. I’m in Chicago and every single time I see one of our local news pages post ANYTHING about the Sky or Angel, you see a bunch of “laugh” reactions and people talking shyt about Angel. It’s unwarranted. They receive more hate than any other Chicago team.

It's even worse when you see brehs chippin in with the narratives & agendas in those spaces. Basketball discussion & criticisms are fine but alot of times it goes past that in those sections with code language.

yep she has to deal with a combination of CC "fans" who are using her to get their racist rocks off, plus the loud section of black CC fans who are extremely vocal on twitter and have spaces shytting on her and hide behind it just being basketball talk, plus the subsection of south carolina fans who have been pushing narratives to hate on her all season and have attempted to drive a rift between her/kamilla which didnt work so now they latching onto dana and izzy

I’m speaking more so about Facebook. Of course you have those who still hate Angel because of the hand wave, but when Chennedy Carter fouled Caitlin and it made national news, that really caused those people to go full force with the hate. Then a couple weeks later, Angel gets a flagrant foul on Caitlin going for a block, these people act like they committed a crime.

The hate wasn’t very loud though when the Sky were playing pretty well and Angel had that good game against the Fever. Also when she made the All Star team and played well in that game. Then after the AS break with the Sky losing a bunch of games, people started laughing at them and celebrating that the Fever was playing better and Caitlin took her game up a notch.

Winning will silence the haters though.

The crazy part is that Taurasi been hitting black players like that her entire career and even recently. Every time Cunningham starts getting bullied, Taurasi steps up to hit someone. Taurasi is white, she hits all players, black and white. It's never made the national news. hmmm. The thing these Kaitlin Klark Krakkas don't realize is that that 2027 draft class in 3 years is gonna be crazy. I know there will be more teams, but these girls are now dunking the ball. Add in that Sides, or any coach they would bring in, can't rest Clark if they wanted to. She has to play all 40 games and 35 minutes a game. To put it in perspective, she played only 690 minutes less than wemby and he played 31 more games. The fans are crazy and they want to see her every minute of every game, every night. So even if Clark gets a little nagging injury that requires rest, people aint trying to hear that.

me too. I think the Lynx can win it this year. And I know Aja is the mvp and deserving, but I wouldn't have been mad at a co-mvp. Collier only has 1 other AS as a teammate and no olympic team member. She's the real deal and complete package.
