Again they're not a homogeneous group like many people make them out to be.

i feel you but its rare to find ones that look like these i know a lot of west africansI'm mainly talking about the diversity in general. Like in this thread. I posted Senegalese who are extremely dark skinned. While I have also posted Mali Tuaregs, Northern Nigerians/Fulani who are fairly lighter toned.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igbo_peopleRed Ibo" (or "red eboe") describes a black person with fair or "yellowish" skin. This term had originated from the reported prevalence of these skin tones among the Igbo but eastern Nigerian influences may not be strictly Igbo.
no doubt but the majority are dark though thats why they get stereotyped i'm merely stating where the myths and sterotypes come from.Actually no its not. For example Northern Nigerians are on average lighter toned due to Fulani admixture. Malian Tuaregs are also light skinned on average. Heck the Igbo's I posted are not even rare. Its known that Igbo's are one of the lightest ethnics in Nigeria, even during the Atlantic slave trade where it was even noted:
