The big problem is that the Iranians have said they arent going to agree to a new deal. That the US must go back the JCPOA. And that their ballistic missiles testing is non negotiable. They already are distrustful of Trump because the incompetent dotard changes his mind depending on what mood he is in. The Iranians know agreeing to a new deal would be akin to surrendering to Trump's maximum pressure strategy. As of right now their strategy is confrontation over surrender. Trump fukked up and by this time next year barring a major escalation in the coming months Iran could reach enrichment levels that Trump will be in a bind during elections season.

someone made a good point about the trump administration in another thread..theyre basically a racket. they cause mischief, fix it, and then try to take credit for "fixing" the problem theyve technically caused.
