How is this a win for Trump? Hundreds of people got killed because of a situation he started.

Trump started some shyt for no real reason (as far as I know he's provided no believable reason that Solemani was an imminent threat) and several hundred people accidentally got killed in the crossfire.

Yes, Iran shot the missiles but it doesn't change the fact that all those people would be alive if Trump hadn't decided to provoke Iran for no reason. So yes it's partially Trump's fault.



Sorry but I just don't see Trump provoking a situation that got a bunch of people killed as some kind of political W. Not to mention the nuclear deal being thrown in the bushes.

Iran says it 'unintentionally' shot down Ukrainian jetliner

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran announced Saturday that its military ‘unintentionally’ shot down a Ukrainian jetliner, killing all 176 aboard.

The statement came Saturday morning and blamed “human error” for the shootdown.

The jetliner, a Boeing 737 operated by Ukrainian International Airlines, went down on the outskirts of Tehran during takeoff just hours after Iran launched a barrage of missiles at U.S. forces.

Iran had denied for several days that a missile downed the aircraft. But then the U.S. and Canada, citing intelligence, said they believe Iran shot down the aircraft.

The plane, en route to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, was carrying 167 passengers and nine crew members from several countries, including 82 Iranians, at least 63 Canadians and 11 Ukrainians, according to officials.

Why were civilian planes flying while rockets are being fired in the first place?

According to the people in the US, I think he won this. According to intelligent people (part of the US and outside the US), he lost because he started it, but people don't remember who started it, they remember how it ended and it ended with Iran shooting down their own plane and admitting it only after they got exposed for lying.

They had leverage and used it. Everything about Trump's presidency suggests this is true.
