I'll go with the people you probably care about

• They defeat Negan, put him in jail
• They build a bridge but zombies attack and in order to keep them from crossing it, Rick blows it up with him on it, everyone thinks he's dead but in reality he's picked up by a helicopter down river by some unknown military group (Rick leaves show)
• 6 YEAR TIME JUMP
• Michonne has Ricks baby, also taking care of Judith, finds out later that Rick is alive, goes searching for him (Michonne leaves show)
• Negan out of jail, sort of a good guy now, kills big bad (Alpha/Whisperers) from last season (big bad kills off a few known side characters like Enid & Tara)
• Darryl still doing Darryl things
• Carol still doing Carol things (Carol/Darryl getting a new show one this one ends next season)
• Maggie left show 2 seasons ago to do new show but that show was canceled so she came back last episode of last season

• Pastor Gabriel is alive in a relationship with Rosita
• King Ezekiel was married to Carol but she left him and he now has cancer
• I didn't watch the last few seasons that closely but I think Maggie was just away at another community all this time and she came back to help defeat the Whisperers
• Eugene makes stuff (weapons, ammunition, etc)

Rick's story was supposed to continue in a movie but no one has heard anything about it since they announced it a few years ago. I believe Andrew Lincoln said he would do it just to get out of the show and has no real plans of coming back smh. Folks thinking Michonne will be part of that movie if it ever comes out but she's an Avenger now so who knows if she comes back. The newest show (The Walking Dead: World Beyond) is about the group that took Rick but takes place 10 years after the apocalypse.

These eps aren’t that exciting, they could only shoot with a few people each per episode due to COVID so it’s reminding me of the days where we’d get whole episodes based on a couple people only

They really didn't need to do a whole episode around how Daryl got that dog.
I wasn't on pins and needles wondering about it. I just assumed he found a stray dog and adopted it.
