It was a good opener to me. Has me read for episode 2. 10000% percent better than the last two seasons of Fear the Walking Dead. (Not a spoiler, just stating that FTWD really sucks, and Angela King hasn't put out a garbage episode yet. (Season 9 finale was the worst from last season))

Following this show it's like watching somebody dies very slowly.
There's just nothing left and you kept asking how is that possible to not be dead yet.
All the principal characters left seems stuck in non interesting roles since some seasons.
The Carole actress isn't even watchable anymore, she seems to wear a zombie mask.
Mostly, the show became a collection of stereotype survival scenes played by a bunch of non professional actors.

I disagree, Carol, Michonne, Daryl, Negan, Gabe & even useless people like Aaron are more interesting then they were 2 seasons ago, the villains are some of the best, if not the best so far, and the writing is much better since Gimple left the show alone, no inhuman dialogue that normal people just wouldn’t talk like, the pacing is better and the characters doing dumb shyt just for the plot to advance has dropped dramatically too.
What you described is literally Fear the Walking dead, Now THAT is some god awful TV

I don't know if Fear... is worst because none of them are worth a good watch/critic. 0 or 1 is the same at that level.
I dunno about the qualities you talk about or the differences with Gimple seasons. It's basically same shyt with different color, like Fear...
And how can the villain be superior now when the 2 scenes I see her in the ep are some of the most cringeworthy. She wasn't even a standout last season, especially with her daughter.

If you think TWD is as bad as Fear atm, or you can’t really see a difference between seasons 7/8 & 9, then I honestly have no idea what to tell you, this show has never been consistent enough to be worthy of critical acclaim like The Wire, BB or GOT, but the two things I mentioned are damn near Night and day

only interesting aspect of that trailer is it looks like they were living a "normal" life post dead rising...but it devolves in the same TWD shyt we already see in 2 shows.

If they really wanna make this 3rd show happen, they 100% NEED to throw that entire Fear the Walking Dead shyt in the bushes, that show has literally ZERO redeemable qualities, as long as they keep churning out that bullshyt no one is ever gonna take a new walking dead show seriously.
Between Fear, This new show looking corny & Scott Gimple making The Rick Grimes movies I literally have no faith in anything Walking Dead related except for the main show, and even the main show had to crawl back from Scott Gimple running the Entire show and most of its fan base into the ground.
