Slower episode but still good. If Scott gimple was still the show runner, this would have been horrible. Angela King definitely knows how to pace an episode so that it never feels like it’s dragging. I’m hyped to see Negan and the whisperers next week. If this was a few seasons ago, they would make you wait by doing a filler episode on Oceanside or a backstory on Siddique

if I was a whisperer and saw a guy with a barbed wire baseball bat, I would have slowly starting walking away In just 1 season and 5 episodes Angela Kang has given Negan more interesting scenes, backstory and character development then Scott Gimple did over the course of 2 whole seasons where dude was terrorising shyt as the main villain, and 80% of these scenes have been from behind a cell door lol
negan saves the ep yet again. only worthwhile scenes were his

Sounds like you stopped watching during the Negan/Savior storyline. That storyline dragged, but the past season and this current season has been good. The show has a new show runner so doesn’t drag as much as it used too. It would be dope if Rick was still on the show, but it’s still a good weekly watch
Yes that and the overt anti black male narrative the show was running with turned me off. I just cant see myself sitting to watch again.
I feel you. I don’t think we’ll have an Alpha-like black man ever on this show. We might next season if they take elements from the comic book. There are two black men on the show and only Ezikial is heading towards The Tyreese zone. Lol
10 seasons in and slow ass zombies creepin on ah comeup still never gets old.
