Ragnar's brother came thru for him in the end, I guess it would have been too soon for him to turn on him yet.

Did anybody get the sense when the earl's wife introduced herself to the brother, she was trying to protect her daughter or looking to get broke off

I heard some reviewer mention it, but Ragnar stays with the smirk on his face, when he asked the earl who has the key to release him

Being a woman back then was horrible, only been 4 episodes and already someone has tried to rape his wife in 2 of them
