Exactly. This is nothing more than the venom prequel. We saw what happened when you suddenly try to throw him in. Spidey gets all the story time and venom becomes another random enemy that gets killed in the end
Venom is too crazy a character for all that. I mean shyt they haven’t even introduced fantastic 4 to tell the real origin story. This will do. Give him 90 mins plus to get it all in. Then come back in the next spidey with venom needing no backstory nor learning of powers. And carnage can be that enemy. Then venom can show up again

I wish the story would be told in an unconventional way so that we don't have to go through the whole origin. Judging from the trailers it seems like they spend a lot of time building up to the venom reveal.
I would prefer the movie starting where Eddie already has Venom and the origin is revealed bit by bit through whatever plot they decide to go with.
Kind of like Spider-man Homecoming.

I think a lot of y'all forget that Sony still has the rights to Spider-Man.
Homecoming and Infinity War was just a deal that Sony and Disney/Marvel made.
More than likely, there's gonna be a Spiderman reference in this movie and I definitely believe there's gonna be a Spidey/Venom movie in the future. There's too much money out there for that not to happen.
