Man I got a love/hate with Roy. I know he's a good coach but was ready to crucify him after losing to duke like we did. Then we win the acc season and tourney. Now we in the 16.

I wonder how much more Roy gonna coach. And who'll replace him. Hubert Davis? In the past I would've loved to see a Chaka smart or Brad Stevens coach us. Feel like we'd def be hanging banners.

I wanted him to fail in Boston so bad so he could come to Chapel Hill when Roy hung em up....:mjcry:

I hope it's not Hebert....I love the tradition of family and the ties to Coach Smith, but I think we've probably reached our last branch on that tree. Kevin Knox stated recently when he took his visits to Dook and UNC that the "UNC coaching staff was older, so they recruited me differently". That's very telling. We can't be the "old" staff out there on the trail for much longer. Outside of Brad and Shaka.....I think Jay Wright ready for his close up in the ACC.

Meeks just has no ability to do much of anything. I've seen this dude airball a layup two games in a row.
His confidence has to be shot at this point. He gets his shyt stuffed so much inside that it's in his head. He can't even make the bunnies even when no one contests now. He should study tapes of Boris Diaw all summer.

These starting times are bullshyt too. How do you get such late games on the east coast as the number one seed?

10pm :damn:

I wonder who will guard Yogi :lupe:

I feel like we're playing after Wisc./ND because they know half the crowd would be out of there if we played first cause nobody wants to stick around that late and watch fukkin Wisconsin play. Still no reason with only 4 games that day that we should be starting at 10, that's bullshyt.

And I feel like Berry might be able to match up pretty well with Yogi....we shall see.

Our bracket is shaking out pretty well, just gotta do our jobs.

me and my buddy are calling these last two months the kill everyone tour

getting revenge all over the place:

avenged the duke loss
avenged the notre dame loss
avenged the uva loss
avenged the northern iowa loss via them actually doing something in the tourney
avenge that indiana beatdown from marcus and brice's freshman year
shot at avenging the wisky loss
maybe avenge the iowa state loss from 2013 in the f4
maybe avenge all the kansas losses

THE KILL EVERYONE TOUR STOPS FOR NOTHING

just watched the special titled "dean smith" on showtime. love it, lets everyone know why unc is so loved, because of him. Man of character always and pride but on the quiet. Dude checkin up on players decades later, pushing them to graduate. pioneer in the game, huddling at free throw lines, pointing at players who assisted the fg, main proponent of 4 corners, bench cheering whoever came off, etc. And obviously buckin trends and getting charlie scott.

people that say k is better than dean piss me off

it's lazy analysis.

coach k has won big but so did dean. the difference is dean changed lives and changed the game of basketball as a whole. it's not even remotely close. college basketball isn't the same without dean. k hasn't made a fraction of that impact

look deeper than wins and losses brehs

Dean had a direct line to Naismith through phog Allen. Basically I look at dean as the bridge between basketball origins and the new age. He even supported players leaving early as long as they thought they were ready. He truly wanted people to succeed in life not just sports.

Can't put a price on that kind of character.
