To be fair, Mendes got that rematch and his best opponent on his can streak was washed guida. At least Connor will have good wins over Holloway(very underrated), Poirer, and Siver, better then anyone Mendes fought. Gotta strike will the iron hot. Why through him up against mendes/edgar to get schooled when you can make the money match now?

No, I totally understand the financial aspect of giving him the shot, especially if he beats Siver in impressive fashion. I also understand that Aldo/McGregor is pretty much the only match they can make in that division at this point. I just don't think his quality of competition deserves a title shot.

But then again, that's just me.

never thought I would say this considering I hated him in wec but I want cerrone to win. His dedication and work ethic is inspirational and the fact he's going out there to win not play some risk averse eat the clock bs is even more impressive, just makes him more rootable
