It wasn't pretty by any means but I long thought Ronda's hands were the worst part of her game and she's admittedly steadily improved over the years. If you told me that Ronda would have 3 wins by knockout at any point in her career - let alone in a fukking row, then I'd have laughed in your face.

She was getting tagged, the other chick had no pop in her punches at all and Ronda had her chin in the damn air


The UFC is building up Ronda so much because she's really their only compelling fighter, and I give her credit for beating the cans they place in front of her, but female fighting has such a terrible talent pool they going way too far with the hyperbole. Saying she's the best female fighter ever, nah Ann would have put her in a coma tonight with that open ass chin

The Cyborg fight is not happening. A) Cyborg is a 145 pounder who walks around at about 170-175. She was also busted for PEDS used to cut weight just to make 145. B) Ronda is a 135 pounder who walks around 145-150. When she started, she fought at 145, but she was not the "professional" she is now. She was chubby and barely cut weight. Ronda is fighting women who are her size right now. If Ronda does fight Cyborg it would have to be at 145, and UFC does not have that division. Cyborg has no one to blame but herself for not getting this fight. If she never doped, Ronda would be forced to fight her.

So, my night was interesting.

I was outside smoking a ciggy at like 9:30...a drunken neighbor who is also smoking sees me and gets my attention and says that he has beer, alcohol, jello shots, food, etc and asked me if I want anything. I never met him before, but he seems like cool peoples so I say alright to some jello shots. He ends up telling me that he ordered the fight, has a few other neighbors over, I look through his window and see that these cats got the big screen. He invited me in.

We end up drinking and shyt, ended up playing some beer pong, watched the fight on their big screen, just got back.

That certainly beat me watching a shytty internet stream in my bedroom...and they was cool....

They was hatin' on Ronda like I was too....

In regards to the fight itself........fukk it. After it ended, we was all hatin', talkin' like "Fight Cyborg then ya bytch"....

I can't say that the stoppage was early, it wasn't. Beth fell down like a sack of bricks with her arms underneath her. I didn't buy that Mendez/McGregor stoppage because homie was covering and it was the end of the round, but Beth was not defending herself.

It doesn't need to be boxing, Wolfe was a brawler with a 71" reach, she had the length of a man, Floyd has a fukking 72" reach and his arms are considered long for his divison. That chick tonight was catching Ronda with shots, and she got T-rex arms, there was no skill there just straight up trading punches.

That single discipline stuff by itself don't mean shyt though. Plenty of Kickboxing champs hop in a MMA ring and look like newborns - Cyborg can scrap, yeah, but winning a Muay Thai fight isn't even on the same level as being an olympic level athlete in boxing, judo, wrestling etc

and the ufc has seen plenty of those guys who are champs in their specific discipline have all sorts of results

doesn't mean a thing other than a great workout regiment really

Ann is Kimbo imo. Another girl in her weight class would embarrass her in WMMA

And I do think Ronda's chin is suspect as fukk too. Wouldn't have thrown my money down the drain like I did tonight otherwise

Jesus, that was the best striker? She got 2 knockouts on her resume and looked like she had no clue how to throw a punch, she had shorter arms than Ronda and was getting hit in exchanges at close range when she should have the advantage in throwing hooks.
