Looks like the Hip Hop Cinematic Universe is in full effect:

Notorious
Straight Outta Compton
All Eyez On Me

I think producers went back to Gravy cause he did a decent job playing Biggie and again they probably wanted to keep the movies connected in some way. I kinda wanted Pac to get a really big production but both Notorious and SOC were about 20-30 Budget. I like Benny Boom as a music video director. Can he pull of this movie? We will see. "Belly" is a gulity pleasure but Hype just made it into one long music video pretty much. I hope Benny doesn't do that with this. I wonder what period they will focus on. I'll wait till the first trailer before I judge this.

johnsingletonReal talk! The reason I am not making this picture is because the people involved aren't really respectful of the legacy of Tupac Amaru Shakur. I won't say much if you want you can read my articles in Hollywood Reporter on authenticity in Black Storytelling ... To Pac's real fans just know I am still planning a movie on Tupac ... It doesn't matter what they do mines will be better... Tupac was much more than a hip hop artist ... He was a black man guided by his passions ... Of most importance was his love of black people and culture ... Something the people involved in this movie know nothing about... Real talk! How you gonna make a movie about a man when you suing his mother to get the rights to tell his story?! They have no true love 4 Pac so this movie will not be made with love! And that's why my ass isn't involved ! If Tupac knew what was going on he'd ride on all these fools and take it to the streets... But I won't do that ... I'll just make my own project. What Yall think about that?!!

I'll put ya'll up on a little game regarding what I've heard about this film. They had to start filming something.... anything. by the end of december in order to keep the project funded or else it would have been scrapped due to the terms of the agreement by the investors. I heard this on one of my podcast I listen to. . so take it for what its worth. This may not be the final cast or director.... hint

He has some Pac to em..but this aint a look a like contest, im more worried about his acting skills, the story, script and the overvall feeling of the movie.
we dont want a hero/mlk type of story..just tell the story as it happened, show pac as a human being with flaws, insecurities etc.

You would think they would've learned from the NWA biopic, only person who looks like the person they are playing is beige Cube...But the acting was on point where it counted and it made you forget they didn't really look like Eazy or Dre....Meanwhile on this Pac biopic they been searching the earth for random bald nikkas with bushy eye brows:snoop:

I was hoping Creed would flop so Michael B Jordan might be desperate enough to take this role:mjcry:....But the behind the scenes shyt with this movie has been such a disaster with this film studio, you would have a hard time getting any credible actors to take on this role....This movie could never be good as long as this studio has control.

I guess in they defense they got the rights pre NWA Straight Outta Compton, and probably didn't know how big a hiphop/Pac biopic could be....But now I think they just being greedy, and going for that money grab no matter the cost:scust:...They know damn well they shoulda just sold the rights to another studio and just did some kindve joint deal, maybe that's not possible I don't know.

Maaaaaneee i swear besides catching Pacs whole personality(which i feel is everyones main concern) Something else that bothers me is i feel they gonna have to catch the atmosphere, mood, and feel of so many different phases of Pacs life(if it covers the everything and not just a period) such as young pac in the bay being young and growing soaking up game, to him coming up and getting big, then him in prison/his release with death and the whole feel good feeling of being out and recording a classic like AEOM, and then finally the whole mood switch to his last days recording 7 day theory, the paranoia, knowing he was gonna die, dissing every east coast mothaphucckaa on the album, jus a dark and crazy time...

Thats the shyt that gots me like how they gonna pull this off? theres articles on the making of AEOM & 7 day theory and there was just so much shyt going on i feel like ALOT of it is gonna be glossed over and they not gonna be able to capture Pacs whole demeanor to before and after he got shot, the prison stint, etc.

To even have a complete feeling movie i would hope its like 3 hrs, people see that and say thats too long but his life was so interesting i know itll fly by.. I really wish a solid ass director and team would make a series on his life and not just his life but capturing his panther roots, crack epidemic, LA riots, east/west beef, the gang life in LA in the 90's, etc and lots more.. Theres just so much shyt that went on i swear if done right that would be the mothafukking best tv show ever
