I'm surprised at how they're catching all the different time periods....That's definitely '94 Pac right there.

Kani sweater....Jeweled out like Shaka Zulu

But that's the problem with the movie, it'll have the same problem that "Notorious" had. It'll be a series of snapshots in the characters life rather than having an actual focus which allows more exploration in to his psyche.

B.I.G was more laid back(introvert maybe?) I'm sure someone has gifted as he had a lot going upstairs that was never revealed in his music, especially considering he was 24 when he died.

You can get away more with making a "Notorious" because Christopher Wallace didn't reveal as much about himself as Shakur, most of us acknowledge the technical acumen but rap fans probaby don have that same emotional connection with Bigs music as with Pac's.

But Pac was energetic, Pac revealed his psyche to the world and allowed his thoughtfulness and emotional responses flow through his music as well as interviews. How can the movie delve in to his psyche when it is more interested in being a highlight reel?

I don't expect much. There's so many layers to Pac, you can pick the layer(s) you wanna focus on, and still make an entertaining movie.

I'm expecting something purely entertainment.I doubt they get deep.

I'mma get bent, bob my head to the music, reminisce, grin & giggle.....That's all i'm expecting out of it.

Why do Pac fans swear they know more about Pac then people who actually been around the guy.
"Been around" is too ambiguous.Depends on who you're talking about.

If I was a historical figure and people could read about my life from conception till death, my fans would know more about me than people I kick it around casually.

I'm willing to bet that I know more about Pac than a lot of people who "knew him in real life":yeshrug:

notorious and straight outta compton were basically just their respective VH1 behind the music documentaries put to film.

so much pandering to. i know as FANS it's cool to witness the first time dre and snoop recorded g thang but in reality that scene just occurs randomly and serves no purpose to the narrative.

like in ray with jaime foxx we see him conceiving and recording songs but it was done to highlight his unconventional approach to music. it was part of the story they were trying to tell. but in these rap biopics it just feels like pandering to fans.

like why must we see 2pac in the studio recording hail mary in a movie about easy e, dr dre and ice cube. what function does this scene serve other than "hey look 2pac is in this".
