As far as American lives lost nothing is going to top COVID for hopefully a very long time, the Bush recession is NOTHING compared to what we're currently going through with COVID (And it will absolutely get worse economy wise), While the patriot act is a Bush thing it's been upheld and expanded upon by every president since, we had a 9/11 every day under Trump, I could go on much further than you can.

Calling Bush anywhere near as bad as Trump is really underselling just how awful of a president Trump was, this is the first time in over 100+ years that the country has been this divided.
