To show you that it's not what it's crack up to be. He will never age, never know what it's like be an adult, he's forever a child no matter how many hundreds of years of age he is.

I think I missed the third episode...but I checked out last week's ep Thursday night. Pam is definitely someone to always keep an eye for...love how mean and evil spirited she is. Not enough Jessica on the last one either. Sookie slept with that goofball with the beard but that's always been the reason he stayed alive this long, hasn't it?

I think it was more about Eric knowing that Pam is a down ass chick who would attempt to stand by his side when shyt goes down and end up dying with him. Severing the bond frees her from her duties to him as her maker.
