This is some real impressions. Thanks man. Reviews and players these days don't tell you shyt about the actual gameplay mechanics of a game. I don't give a crap about how many missions are in the game if the third person action isn't that good.So glad I was able to try the Beta last night before it ended. Overall the experience was kinda meh.
Pros:
- Atmosphere of snowy NY, reminded me of Freedom Fighters (personal classic).
- I see the potential for fun and fukkery multipltying if you got a squad of 3 or 4.
Cons:
- Controls are clumsy as fukk.
- If I head shot a street thug buckin' at me sideways, he should die no questions asked. Not stagger and then proceed to fill me with lead.
- The HUD got too much going on
- Cover system is a liability in intense fire fights.
If I do get this it won't be any time soon and likely after a price drop.
I also think MGS5 spoiled me, they set the bar for 3rd person shooters/action games this gen. To go from moving flawlessly in an open world setting to this clunky mess is jarring as hell

How Destiny Seduced Me
The Beta has been tantamount to ordering a nice hot coffee and receiving a lukewarm chocolate milk. Underwhelming as hell. This is a game that I had pre-ordered and I was planning on canceling said pre-order because of my dissapointment...
UNTIL LAST NIGHT.
... I just experienced the next gen of gaming. I'll nerd-splain:
- I'd just cleared an area of NPC enemies and @LinusCaldwell was on the other side of the city. I get approached by 2 soldiers (actual players) who ask me, through the proximity chat, "Are you alone?" while they aimed an M4 carbine and Ak-47 at me, respectively. I answer, "Yea, my dude is waiting behind cover." Poker face, the breh was no where near me. They believed me. They dropped their weapons and acted "friendly".
- As I exit the building, I'm walking down the street and I get hit by a large caliber sniper round. I run back up to be like WTF? They shoot at me, I shoot back...they kill me. I drop ALL OF ALL THE WEAPONS AND LOOT I WORKED HARD FOR. They teabag my body...and I heard them say,
"Bro, let's keep doing this to people. We shoot them after we friend them and catch them off-guard". I LEGIT FELT MOLESTED. shyt fukkED WITH ME. 
- I respawn and now have a bloodlust.
I need revenge. Me and my group LOOK FOR THESE DUDES ALL THROUGHOUT NY trying to find them. I see two guys who say what's up and I ask them if they've seen the two guys, to watch out for them, and give them the names. They say no but will watch out for them. It was like some Wild Wild West shyt. I knew they were on the same server still... I just had to look for them. I had to find them.
- I search for 45 minutes. I here someone in a building. I inspect and start firing because I thought it was them. "Bro, STOP STOP, IT'S US".
It was the 2 guys I met a little earlier. I did not mortally wound them and I healed them and apologized. Waited for my Rogue countdown to end; I had an itchy trigger finger. They accepted my apology. We laugh and we friend request each other but don't join each other's squads. We go separate ways.
- Near the end of the 45 minute search, I figured they must have left the City.
I give up the search... so I'm going towards the safe zone. I get a message from the two brehs I made friends with that they need help. I run to the location and help them fend off these enemy combatants.
-As we are about to exit that building, we SEE ONE OF THE PLAYERS WHO KILLED ME EARLIER AND TOOK MY LOOT.
-I scream, "THAT IS ONE OF THEM!!!" I start DUMPING rounds from my Classic WW2 era M1 Garand. I kill him. To see this dude crawling on the floor, bleeding out... IT WAS THE MOST SATISFYING GAMING EXPERIENCE IN YEARS.

Nah! I deleted the Beta, lol. My issue is that the last shooter I played was MGSV. So I'm spoiled.
Gonna sit out The Division. I think the next shooter I get will probably be Ghost Recon Wildlands.
I'm still gonna cop, looking forward to it.

Dark zone going to be lit when the full game drops... had to stop playing the beta after i got my high end weapon
nothing else to do and it would be a waste of my time when they del my character... the next two weeks

What scares me is the weapons being the same and not in enough variety.
What makes a blue pistol better then a green one. A bullet is a bullet.
The bullet proof face bandanas really built to withstand damage from sniper rifles depending on their stats. They didn't think the combat through enough in their desire to make this a destiny like RPG.
The pvp in open world will make or break this game

I agree with you.
Sniper rifles in this game should require no more than 3 or 4 headshots to break the guard of any enemy. It anything, make it become a chase when a Gold Boss has no guard left.
shyt would be crazy if you injure a Gold enemy and he starts running on some Shadow of Mordor shyt. And only a certain amount of people can pick up his loot.
It would make chasing ans securing that loot much more intense.
