Softball is not popular in France/Europe.

However, softball will (most likely) be back for Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032.

It's not just unpopular, it's basically an unknown sport. And not just in France/EU, but in most of the world. This sport shouldn't be in the Olympics at all.

Regarding breakdancing, there have already been B-boy international tournaments. France often finished first, which may explain why it was recommended for Paris 2024.

yeah I mean thats how I feel. I sympathize for whatever she is dealing with but she just quit on her team literally in the middle of the event because she had a bad vault run.

not only is that somehow above criticism, but she's being made out to be brave and strong for it. I don't get it but this is the world we live in now.
I really don’t understand it. Just use the magic buzz words “mental health” and all is forgiven and you’re a hero now. Ben Simmons was scared to shoot because of pressure just a month ago and everyone clowned him. People have cracked under pressure in sports since the beginning of time. But now it’s ok and we should praise them because they’re dealing with mental pressure.

A transgender playing on the Canadian women's soccer team. That shyt is not right and needs to be stopped.
You’re talking about Quinn? I’m pretty sure they’ve been playing for the women’s Canadian team for years already. It’s a non issue.

It depends though, she must have really felt something to back out. Do you want someone doing flips etc. if they are having a panic attack or mental breakdown?

You have to be pin point accurate or you can literally break your neck or be paralyzed

For me you step away from the games entirely, let the alternates in those events get a shot. She already got her medals

Bad look when you have a goats on gear then back out for mental health

Could you imagine Kobe doing some shyt like that ,never in a million years
Just imagine Bean or Bron or Jordan checking out of game 4 of the finals talking about they’re not mentally in it and to let the guys take care of business without them. They’d be vilified as they should be.

A little weak honestly, leader of the team and she decided she wasn't feeling it. Should have just said she aggravated a back injury or something, but like you said maybe she's still planning to show out in the individuals. If I was on that team I'd definitely be :beli:

Nah Simone has been more than accommodating for these competitions. The fact that they refuse to not score her correctly cause "it would be unfair to everybody else" makes me support her in whatever she does.

They're bending the rules to punish her. So if she decides she doesn't want to do it, she don't have to.

If I was her, I'd show up whenever I feel like it. And if I don't feel like it, I wouldn't show up.

If they wasn't doing her any kind of way, id say she was wrong.

But being punished because you are the GREATEST?

Miss me with that. If she pulls out the entire games and comes home, I wouldn't blame her.

This the world we live in now. Get nervous and it's OK to say you having a mental breakdown and just walk off or take a break. Many athletes in the past have fukked up because they had nerve issues. Imagine if instead of missing four free throws Nick Anderson just walked off and said "naw can't do this I have mental issues". :mjlol:fukk outta here. That's part of the game.

but those sports aren't the same though

you can have a off game in basketball and be ok

in gymnastics you can break your neck, be paralyzed if you're not on

that's why I'm saying its hard to compare this with any other sport

That's fine and all, but don't sign up for the team competition when you have others depending on you then. Her teammates ain't doing her wrong. Should have said she's doing just individuals or like you said just go home
