Brown had a good start, but Rodney and Blake are going to have to really dig in as 2nd and 3rd runners. Can't leave Andre to have to make up that much space in the final 100M. Bailed them out. Literally just need 1 thousands of a second better from each.

Yup the day of rest should help them though as 3/4 of them ran in the 200m

Not sure what other chances China have but we have 6 gold medal matches left in various sports and 14 track or cycling events.

I don't think that China has any more solid chances of winning gold. However, the USA has many solid opportunities to tie or surpass China in gold.


Solid gold medal chances for the USA in the final 3 days:

1. USA women's basketball team
2. USA men's basketball team (in the gold medal game - they SHOULD win)
3. USA women's water polo team (in the gold medal game - they are the 2x defending Olympic champs)
4. USA women's beach volleyball team (in the gold medal game - they've played very well so far)
5. USA women's 4x400m relay team in track & field
6. Boxer Richard Torrez (in the gold medal game - he's boxed well so far)
7. Wrestler Gable Steveson (in the gold medal game - he's wrestled dominantly so far)




Potential but not solid chances at gold for the USA in the final 3 days:

1. USA women's indoor volleyball team
2. Boxer Keyshawn Davis
3. Other lesser known events



The fact that the US still has a great chance of tying or surpassing China in gold medals is crazy. It goes to show how amazing American athletes are. China brought their A game to these Olympics and the USA didn't. Wow.

Traditionally it doesn't matter how fast you run during the year. That title goes to the Olympic gold medal winner.
