it was clear what he was doing, but there wasn't near enough time for this strategy...only 50 sec left in the game at that point and down 5, you have to foul.

I know but Wisconsin doesn't miss free throws there hand was forced. Dekker shot with 19 seconds to go if he missed and they take a quick 3 and hit it with 7 or so seconds left they can foul and pray Wisconsin misses one free throw and than go for a quick shot to tie it up. Down 5 with 50 seconds and fouling Wisconsin is a automatic loss.
