Bud would be embraced by the urban community bc he backs up his mouth/confidence with elite talent at 140, plus he really is from that hard life.

He's being marketed wrong and fighting opponents with no fanbase to take from.


Gamboa, Dulorme, Jean, Lundy, Postol, Molina, Diaz....none of these fights have made him a bigger star. None of em. Why? Because they dont have fans.

No, he doesn't work for the promoter. He signs a deal that they get exclusive rights to promote his fights, but he has the final say in who he fights. Most fighters don't want to deal with the headache of finding and negotiaing promotional rights so...

Promotional companies don't go out of their way for most fighters signed with them, champion or not. Talented or not.

He has a manager that needs to get on the ball, that's about it.
