someone needs to clearly state what causes you to turn into a zombie in this universe. especially if everyone is infected regardless

herschel got his leg bit and he was gonna die from it? :usure
but chopping his leg off, ensuring more blood loss = survive

Someone here already said the bites and scratches speeds up the infection process by giving you a fever which you die from and go zombie.

Or think of it this way. Everyone alive has the infection but it's dormant, once you're bit or scratched by a zombie it activates dormant infection triggering a process for you to die and be reanimated.

Like in the comics when Abraham is escorting the "scientist" had all the answers. That pissed me off. I don't want an explanation of why

One thing I don't think has been answered though. Is this zombie apoclypse man made or supernatural? Do they answer that in the comics?
