Why didn't Ralph want Holly to ask El Cuco any questions? :mindblown:Those were all questions everyone wanted to know the answers to. You would think him being so skeptical of El Cuco the whole season, would make him even more curious than Holly when time came to get answers.

That doesn't jive, bro. Claude knew who Terry was, and El Cuco could read his thoughts. If that's what they were alluding to, this is one of the worst show endings in recent memory
I don't know how he got that from the ending:russ:

I also don't think its its going to be multiple seasons of this. I could be wrong.

I wish HBO would buy the rights to mindhunters :noah:

was Ralph able to see those dead Cave CACs towards the end? and if so, why??
He's been having visions of his son all season, so I think this is supposed to symbolize him finally becoming a "believer" in the supernatural.

Because she just her boyfriend get gunned up and burned quick - so I think with her being still in shock, he was trying to protect Holly from letting her anger and emotion consume the situation. Cuco feeds off anger and grief.

‘The Outsider’ Finale Post-Credits Scene Previews A Likely Season 2
"The last shot of the series is the one above, which reveals that Holly has the dreaded “scratch” on her arm that means that she’s psychologically linked to El Cuco and could be cloned by him so he can commit a new murder.

This seems like it’s teasing a plotline for a possible, probable season 2 of The Outsider on HBO. Ratings have been solid for the series, and it seems likely that HBO would like to bring it back for a second season."

The Outsider
finale, titled “Must/Can’t” is both satisfyingly conclusive and open-ended. Ralph Anderson and Holly Gibney successfully take down the monster known as El Coco. But a post-credit scene reveals that Holly may have been infected by the monster, which could herald its return in some capacity.

We'll be back - I'm being optimistic

SPOILER:
'The Outsider' Ending: Breaking Down the Finale, Credits Scene, and Season 2 Possibilities

The ending is deliberately ambiguous and open to interpretation, which is a thing that the internet absolutely hates (Google “Inception ending” to see what I’m talking about). There are two possibilities – one, that Holly is imagining seeing Jack in her bathroom and is just checking up on the case that fundamentally changed her life; or two, that she is under El Cuco’s influence and is checking to see exactly what the authorities know about it as it slowly recuperates in the cave and transforms into Holly.

There’s evidence to support either conclusion. It’s been established that Holly suffers from PTSD, so the appearance of Jack in her mirror could just be a symptom of the extreme stress she experienced in the shootout in front of the cave. However, just before Ralph crushes the monster’s skull, it pulls a T-1000 and transforms into a bunch of people, including Ralph’s boss Yunis and Holly, which seems to indicate that it can mimic anyone, but can only fully duplicate a person when it collects some of their DNA. That means it could’ve been anyone at any time, and although we never see the Claude monster scratch Holly, other members of the group certainly had the opportunity. It’s entirely possible that El Cuco mimicked Yunis, or Ralph, or anyone else, and scratched her arm to gather her sweet, sweet genetic material for the purposes of nefarious shapeshifting. It’s kind of up to you to decide which explanation is more plausible, although the show throws an additional wrench into everything when El Cuco admits that it has no idea whether it is a sole being or part of a race of creatures, meaning there could be more of them out there. (The show tips us further in this direction in Episode 9, when the Cherokee City D.A. learns that another mutilated child was discovered by a hiker, and we know our El Cuco hasn’t been able to successfully kill any more children since poor Frankie.)

I think it was the opposite with Ralph's anger and emotion that would consume the situation. He really didn't want to hear why it went after kids, because of his own lost son. And El Cucuo answering her question of "Why kids" would have 100% confirmed that he did it and Ralph wasn't ready to face that truth. Like when he entered that cave and saw ClaudeCuco, you know he was like WTF, I can't believe this was all actually true. So he went back to kinda being in denial again and didn't want to hear anymore truths cause he was still trying to grapple with them being face to face with what he had been denying all season.

:ohhh:So Holly IS El Coco. Since she asked who Terry was and googled the kid at the end. She never forgets anything so that is the first clue. Also, she was listening to music at the end, another thing she never does. S2 gonna be lit.
I see that you were paying attention

I don't know why I LMAO at the name "ClaudeCuco" :laff::laff:
Your reasoning is possible too.
But I think that they deliberately left a lot of the scenes open-ended, to allow for alternate theories and explanations.

Sooo...what happened at the end?
'The Outsider' Ending: Breaking Down the Finale, Credits Scene, and Season 2 Possibilities
ClaudeCuco dies, Claude's Coo-Coo in La Cabeza brother gets killed as he should bc his snitching led to half the team getting murdered by Cuco. Hank's last meal was the 200 mile chicken, unbeknownst to him at the time that he would get fried, as well. Holly is possibly being turned into HollyCuco bc of a scratch on her arm. Ralph is still depressed and confused.
