Its funny how everyone gets on Apple about not having certain features on their devices but when Google does it's ok.

I was mad about the Nexus 4 not having LTE cuz it meant I wouldnt be able to get it subsidized on my carrier. I'm over it. The phone costs $300

The iPhone was missing features at a cost of $599 :stopitslime:

As was posted earlier, No it does not have LTE which is unfortunate. The phone is being sold for 300 cheaper than other high end phones off of contract. HSPA+ allows the greatest freedom of carriers worldwide. Thats why I would not get with Sprint or Verizon due to their proprietary networks. HSPA+ is fast enough to do anything you need to do on a phone. You can't name one thing you can't do.

HSPA+ speed on AT&T passed the requirement to be 4G :heh:

AT&T iphones are 4G bruh :childplease:

If you're an AT&T iPhone owner, your download and upload speeds remain the same; so why are you now being told that your iPhone is 4G?

"The simple reason is that it's a 4G device," AT&T spokesman Mark Siegel told the Huffington Post in a phone interview. "AT&T runs two 4G technologies: One is called HSPA+ and the other is called LTE. This is an HSPA+ device, hence the 4G indicator."

"It [the iPhone 4S] has always had that capability, and we're glad it's now displayed on the phones."

And responding to the charge that HSPA+ is a 3G, not a 4G network:

"I've seen that criticism, but it's been accepted for some time by a variety of standards bodies that HSPA+ is a 4G network," Siegel said. "I understand what people are saying but [HSPA+] has been recognized as 4G."

4G iPhone On AT&T? New Network Indicator Causes Controversy

At&t got by on a technicality. 3g HSPA is 7.2Mbs which already faster than cdma 3g. Hspa+ 14.4 or faster is considered "4g" by the ITC. The iPhone 4s on At&t has a hspa+ 14.4 radio. T-Mobile has hspa+ 21 or DC hspa+ 42 which competes very well with current LTE. So yea iPhone 4s had the slowest "4g" hspa+, at least the Nexus 4 has hspa+ 21, The T-mo model has Hspa+ DC 42. Both will work on T-mobile.

Nexus coming for necks I see....

I already got the Nexus 7 tab and that ho is great, The 10 seems dope but 7 inch is perfect for me.

Now I'm got me thinking about getting that Nexus 4 though.

All this LTE, 4G, HSPA talk is :mindblown: . Every phone I have had for the last 3 years has been fast enough to do everything I need and 80% of the time my phone is connected to a wi-fi network so I be damned if I'ma pay an extra $100, $200 for a phone that may possibly be half a second faster than the next...

The fact that these are the main debate points lets you know that all these phones are very similar and you aren't missing much if don't have the "Next great phone"

If you wanna get technical..."4G" is only "4G" in carrier terms. None of these networks we see are really 4G. They had to get a pass just to advertise their networks as such. Its a marketing ploy
