I honestly think the Architect decided to keep Neo alive because he's already faced multiple previous "Ones" before him. So instead of dealing with the rise of a new "One", after Neo rebooted the Matrix, they just reinserted him and imprison him mentally. Also the name of the movie is "Resurrections". I think the Wick look is also a Jesus look which is what Neo symbolizes in the Matrix. He was like a religious figure. In "Reloaded" the people in Zion was praying to Neo. Then in "Revolutions" the whole cross in the light symbolism. I mean there's a reason they releasing it on Christmas too to tie into that religious theme. But yes this is clearly a different version of the Matrix where as the Trilogy was the same version.

Yup. If you look at his eyes it clearly shows they are burned like they were in revolutions. Dope shytNot sure if this has been pointed out but at around 12-13 seconds, it looks like the machines are repairing/rebuilding Neo's body
Maybe this is where they "reset" him or some shyt
I'm in if they go full meta... that is some mindblowing shyt... supposedly in the trailer they are playing the original matrix movie in one of the scenes .... i love that shyt, will make people really weirded out but also brings a different dimension to the franchise

I hope it’s not just callbacks for nostalgia. I remember seeing The Matrix in theater and it blew my mind. I hope this will do the same. I just finished the trilogy again last week.
