there are plenty of cases of a half hour episode of something having a fleshed out story
Obviously that's not what they're going for here and that's fine, but there are only eight episodes this season so it at least needs to pick up by the halfway point. The visual effects are great but you have to have an actual story.
So far if somebody asked me what this was about all I could say is "This bounty hunter I know nothing about finds this baby Yoda I know nothing about and is trying to turn him in for a reward I know nothing about".
But again, I'll check out the newest episode when I get home. Hopefully they focus a little more on building a plot.
That's all you put together so far? Ok dude is a bounty hunter. He was obviously in some attack as a child, involving a droid killing his village. This leads to him being in this "religion" with these other dudes in the cave. He says "weapons are like my religion" so I guess that's why they have ceremonial armor getting made down there. He is young so he hasn't yet earned some badge. But whoever they are, they are about honor (he admits it wasn't a clean kill) and they don't like disgrace (them fighting over dude helping the empire).
The empire has obviously fukked these dudes over, that's why big man was mad in the first place. So our guy is like fukk this, I'm getting that paper though. The empire sends him on a mission to do some dirty shyt to Baby Yoda. We don't know exactly what. And he's not fukking with that, cause the trauma of his childhood, and the code of his religion.
And now the hunt begins on some fugitive shyt, as the empire has alerted every bounty hunter in the universe to catch him
