Please doing business with you Walt. If I was present for my pick, I would of went for Melo.

Melo is about to have a career year, especially with Amare out. I actually think he'll end up ranked higher than CP3, and I think CP3 will play fewer minutes this season. But I could use another PG, and it's hard to pass up CP3 if he gets proposed to you.

Melo was a top 4 fantasy player last year after Amare was out of the lineup. I don't get the outrage and the veto demands - one star player just got traded for another. This ain't exactly the wildest trade in fantasy history. Dude missed the draft, the comp autodrafted CP3 for him, he wants Melo. Is this going to be one of those senstive thug leagues where every trade is whined about?

If we were doing a snake draft, Melo shouldn't even be drafted in the first round. CP3 is a top 5 fantasy option.

Actually, it is very possible for Melo to go in the first round. If this was a snake draft, it wouldn't be a reach for Melo to be taken at the bottom of the first round, which happens to be where Walt made his pick. It's all about preference and who you covet at your draft position.

The only great stats Melo gives you (for a forward) are points, rebounds, and free throws. His FG% and assist numbers are meh. He's shot above 35% from 3 only once in the past 5 seasons. Bron, Durant, and Smoove are all clearly better SFs than him in fantasy.

PG Rajon Rondo (Bos - PG)
SG Dwyane Wade (Mia - PG,SG)
SF Rudy Gay (Mem - SF,PF)
PF Kenneth Faried (Den - PF)
C Marcin Gortat (Pho - C)
Util Arron Afflalo (Orl - SG)
Util Tony Parker (SA - PG)
Util Tim Duncan (SA - PF,C)
BN Kris Humphries (Bkn - PF)
BN Jonas Valanciunas (Tor - C)
BN Isaiah Thomas (Sac - PG)
BN Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Cha - SF)

I'm probably going to need another big man (Parker's on the trading block, BTW), but I'm happy with this draft.

That trade is a tad weak tbh.

The draft dictated the price and one player went for $20 more than the other, yet he's suddenly worth a straight up trade?

I could see if it was middle of the season and dude needed FT's and Points really bad, but this is on the league to allow or disallow.

I got Klay Thompson for $10. In some drafts he's going for as much as $30. So could I trade him straight up for a player with $30 in some leagues, but not in this one? And CP3 was drafted at a certain price because of the auto bidding of a player who wasn't present at the draft.

If the league disallows the trade, I'll keep it moving just the same, it's all good. But for all the fantasy leagues I've been in, I've never seen cats find a deal like CP3 for Melo to be some egregious, crazy shyt. Sets a hell of a precedent, and best believe I'll be reminding everyone of it with every trade I see take place, and providing detailed breakdowns of why they should be disallowed based on the initial veto.
