I'll be honest, I have no clue how I feel about divisions.

I have been screwed in head to head football so many times since I started playing.

One thing I do in the money league I play in is we only have 2 division (East and West) and the top team in each division gets a round 1 bye (week 14) in the playoff bracket.

Then the 2nd and 3rd place team in each division goes in to the playoffs and THEN the last 2 playoff spots go to the best remaining records, regardless of division. That way if one division is filled with 5 7-6 teams and the other has two 9 win teams then a bunch of 5-8's, a 5-8 doesn't get a spot over a 7-6.

That's an ESPN league, so @Rev and I would need to look over Yahoo functionality and how we could set it up.

I also like the idea of doing something for a high scoring team with a bad record who misses out on the playoffs (like Reb) and for the winner of the losers bracket.

In that league, since it's a money league) we give out a cash bonus. In this league, we could do something like spiff that persons budget for next year's draft.

So for example, highest total points without making the playoffs could receive a $20 auction dollars bump for next year. Loser bracket winner got the same.

Some sort of incentive to keep people playing is always nice.

:merchant: @Listen since it wasn't established before the season started, there is no loser playoff bracket right now.

But your idea is good for next year. Wouldn't have made sense to implement it now anyway since some dudes may have checked out a couple weeks ago already.

yea, that West division was terrible...but it's only fair that we have the division winners make the playoffs. Divisions would be pointless otherwise.

We can just cut it back to 2 divisions starting next season if it really make more sense from a fantasy standpoint...since it's not hardcore division scheduling like that (i think). What do you think @Listen?

I'm all for having two divisions.

How about people stop being pussies. It's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Don't over think, someone is always going to get screwed!
