Episode 8 "The Instant White-Hot Wild" Thoughts

Homelander: Aunt Grace? Ok. You know, she may be nice, Ryan, but she's not your aunt. She's not even your real family.

I'm with Homelander on that.

Maeve: It's like u wear a neon sign that says 'raw dog me. I'm a bottom.' :dame:

Maeve looking at Starlight and Huey like

That demonic :mjlit:smile that Homelander had when making Ashley take her wig off and the exhale of satisfaction :ahh:

That was unreal. A-Train looking at her like :picard::ohhh:

He looked back at Homelander like:gucci: when he gets at him for killing one of his "own kind" despite having just done Noir like the Predator

Ashley was looking like a Chernobyl victim when she took that wig off. She looked like the dude who drove into the toxic waste in Robocop :mjlol:

That was the funniest and most diabolical scene in the entire series to me. The way A-Train slowly pans over and tilts up like a camera to look at the horror that is about to unfold is some next level shyt. I couldn't stop laughing. Ice replayed that scene 5 times now.

I can't agree.

The Deep, yeah. He's basically been pointless for 2 seasons.

A Train was kinda in the same boat last season then they turned it around and made him integral to st0rmfr0nt's downfall.

Then this season they gave him a nice little redemption arc.

MM is just the average guy POV. He's like if a fan of the show was a character. He's just dealing with all the crazy shyt and the super hero mis- and dis-information same as "normal" people deal with alt-right lunatics.

MM's arc is not for everyone but I fukk with it. :manny:

Fred.

I said in the s2 thread after the episode where they crashed into the whale that this was Hueys place in the show. His reaction to hitting that whale was how the audience would react to it. He was literally an audience member.

Now that he has powers, you're right, he's no longer that person for the audience. I don't know that MM is that person though.

Seems like this season kinda reset itself.

Also, really hoping that not how Noir really dies. The fact that he's the only one that even died here was weird.

I trust the writers but it seems like they don't know when the Supes should die. A-Train, SB and Maeve should've died when we thought they did, while Black Noir should've either lived or at least died a better way.

Also, how Ryan suddenly become a psychopath?
