How does this show not have any Emmy and Golden Globes?!:why: It's one of the best things on television. The way they satire corporate America, the news media (Fox News), right wingers, superheroes, etc has been on point! This show needs to end next season become when a show is so good, it tends to drop off in quality after the third season.

This show is shytting on the Disney Plus superhero shows and especially on the CW shows and HBO Max shows.

If the writers really meant that as a diss to MM having multiple baby mamas --- they on another level of writing cuz I'm 99% sure that SB just meant which family since he killed many lol. They didn't mention those newspaper articles MM had of SB's murders for no reason. They wanted us to see he killed a lot of people and got away with it.

man I gotta go back and watch that damn scene lol

ya in hindsight it makes perfect sense but like @OVER I initially thought it was in reference to the amount of families he killed…but the racist jab is more in line with MM’s reaction
Yea when you look at the scope of it there's a whole spectrum of racist behavior on the show

Ashley with the casual, belittling, liberal racism towards A Train

Soldier Boy being the average white man from his era

The boyfriend of MMs ex wife being alt right adjacent

And st0rmfr0nt being the obvious extreme

Being on Prime hurts it's popularity

Just about everybody has Amazon prime but it's not a go to streaming service in people's minds

The sad part is The Boys probably has the best social media promotion of any show I can think of. That Vought YouTube channel is brilliant

It's all in the context.

Look at Soldier Boy's admiration for Bill Cosby juxtaposed with the type of black man MM has shown himself to be. Don't forget the line In this last episode mentioning that he was spraying water hoses in Birmingham

The show isn't given credit for it's subtlety because so much of it is so explicit but the characterizations are very well thought out
Soldier Boy is one of many old racist who've adapted to the modern world but while he has adapted he hasn't really changed. He's the type to call a clean cut brother a fine young man if he meets his standards but still uses racist euphemisms and feels the world used to make more sense when minorities knew their place.

That said I still don't read that line the same as you do.

And just to add on the context we talking about happened this last episode so we're applying shyt all after the fact. What about the context of that episode? MM hating/fearing Soldier Boy for damn near his whole life, his father dying of a heart attack over a table while challenging Vought, his guilt of putting his grandfather in the direct path of his death, him developing OCD rituals to fight off a man who the world believed to be dead for close to 40 years. A man who he hates so much a usually much tactical MM is willing to throw out all logic for a hopeless fist fight...and what is his passion greeted with? A flippant "Which one?" when told how he has scarred MM.

It does have Emmy noms. The cast was just recently speaking about it in the hilarity of how they presented their nomination with the footage shown was the boat through the whale scene, lol!

I believe Karl and Antony (Butcher & Homelander) both got ones for their characters in season 2 and the show did as well.
