I really really liked how they portrayed homelander. Every scene he was in was tense as fukk and the actor killed it.

So many people who I know watched Banshee didn't even know he was Hood.

He did kill it and every seen was tense. On the airplane the whole time I expected dude just to laser everyone on some hey it’s a quicker death :smugfavre:

That's my only thing. I'm cool with him being regular but at least have him cool as a fan never sweating. They had him stressing too much.

It does leave a lot of room to grow for the show though. :ehh:
he dont have superpowers so it make perfect sense for him to be stress out if Vought was to find out what he doing he would be dead in a blink of and eye remember they are using superheros they make as hire killers and the seven more importantly Homelander are hell alot more competent than there comicbook counterparts . the homelander in the comic was way dumber compare to the one in the show he would have never be able to pull off the schemes the one in the show is doing.

Watching this on my Prime trial lol.

Enjoying it a lot. Never was a big fan of Ennis because he took that edgy nonsense way too far aside from maybe an exception here and there, but the direction they took here for the show makes it much more palatable. I haven't read much of the comic for the aforementioned reason, but it looks like it takes a lot of artistic freedoms. I'm only on ep. 4 right now but I'm having a good time.

Yeah it way different and I would say better then the comic. Starlight is less of a prop and actually important to the story.

No.

That what makes Butcher that guy to lead this impossible fight you just described.

In the final episode Homeland gives him a heat check and sees who has no fear in the situation. That's his character in the comics. I don't care if they only took the names and nothing else from the source. Having Butcher be that nikka would've been dope. /SPOILER]

At that point he stop care about staying alive to see homelander dead that why homelander did what did to him at the end of the season if the fear of death wont break him than what he see at the end of the season will.
