He probably was just stacking cash living life then woke up one day and realized in doing so had become a punchline.

People had begun questioning how much did Ben even contribute to good will hunting considering how matt and Bens careers went in opposite directions and probably sat there like

Bens career resurgence has been awe inspiring. I can't really think of other parallels to his career.
