Stauskas cut ? The rookies may be getting invites only to participate in the training camp, unclear if they will all actually be there for the tournament. But if they are some NBA players will get cut

There isnt room for Stauskas....Id take Alexander-Walker over him

It's a 12 man roster and more than likely all of this years rookies can't play. Probably just at training camp to get them in the system for the 2020 Olympics if we qualify

I think something like this is realistic

I went to summer camp with Birch when I was like 11 He was a few years younger but already towering over everyone. I remember a camp counsellor telling him to remember him when he makes the league Happy for the breh.

Alexander-Walker and Clarke look like they will be future starters on this team. Both beasted in summer league and are in good situations.

Breh I am *hype*. Long time suffering is over the magical summer continues. Literally everyone accepted the invite! Wiggins lost, rest of the brehs must think he's a weirdo.

Nick Nurse and Grunwald clearly gave this program credibility. I cant wait for the warm up games.

They're playing Nigeria at Mattamy (old maple leaf gardens) on the 7th I think.

Haven't looked at prices but I went to the game against DR last summer and got 2 tickets 1 row behind courtside for a little over $200.


It's a shame that DAZN has the rights to everything and nothing will be on regular TV. They need to do something about that. This shyt should be on CBC

Toronto is always shyt for supporting the national team. I've gone to a lot of team canada games and its always half empty no matter where they play. The pan am games is the only time ive seen good turnouts.

There's always a 50/50 split in fans supporting the other teams too.

Im guessing Mattamy is to try make it feel less empty

I'd think doornekamp has almost no chance and is just a fiba veteran camp body.

Atleast one of the Scrubb brothers probably has a good chance though.

We're kinda weak on the wing and if none of the rookies can play and Brooks isn't healthy enough to play, you're defenitely gonna see some of the euro guys make the team.


I like Aaron Best alot. Super athletic, really good defender and knocks down open 3s without ever forcing bad shots.

Pangos is probably a lock for the team tbh.


Maybe Naz Long steps up though. I think he might have a really good shot of making it

Yeah I’m a fan of Naz long and Aaron Best. If they have to take a non nba pro, I’d prefer Pangos just cause he can shoot it and he’s a proven point guard at the highest Euroleague levels. Naz Long should make a NBA squad soon. Always been a fan of Best, a couple of years ago he actually looked like the best guy on that 905 team. If he wasn't 6'2, I think he'd be a legit thread to get a 2-way roster spot.

After watching Scrubbs and Doornekamp stink it up at Summer League, the Pan Ams and multiple international games, I have no desire to see them on the team ever again

Awareness level is next to nil outside of big basketball fans and they have no success to build on for marketing purposes. This summer may mark a turning point though. Basketballs never been more popular, people are hungry for more success, Nick Nurse is coach etc.

So do they need to finish top 4 to automatically qualify?
