Morgan Freeman survives the entire Dark Knight trilogy as Lucius Fox and plays a significant role in each film.

He even gets fired by Rutger Hauer in Batman Begins and swags on him at the end of the movie, taking his job and using the same words he used when he fired him “Didn’t you get the memo?”

In fact, Lucius Fox was one of the coolest and smartest characters in the trilogy. His whole line of questioning and “Good luck” to the employee who threatened to expose Bruce as Batman in TDK. Him helping Batman find the Joker using widespread surveillance, but keeping his integrity and telling Batman that as long as the machine was at Wayne Enterprises, he wouldn’t be.

Then him walking away with swag as the machine self-destructs after he puts in his name.

Inception is where I noticed a lack of black actors (except a nameless dream projection who fights JGL in that infamous hallway scene)

In Interstellar though, you have once again another intelligent black scientist, Romily, who takes the trip into outer space with them.

Now granted he dies in the movie, but so does everyone else except the two primary characters.

And he survived far longer than the other secondary white crew member who drowned on the wave planet.

Dunkirk and The Prestige were period pieces. It’s rare to find black people in most period pieces.

But Nolan doesn’t have any type of agenda to exclude black people from his films, as evidenced by this latest news.

:dead: when you Stan so hard you look ridiculous.
But I’m still waiting for some names to be dropped to refute my point :laughdenzel:

I’ve just accepted there is a small segment who will never appreciate the greatness they are witnessing. I just pity them now

Elizabeth Debicki and Robert Pattinson are on board to co-star with John David Washington in Christopher Nolan’s next movie, Variety has learned.

Nolan recently finished the script for the currently untitled film and Warner Bros. quickly dated it for July 17, 2020 — a slot the studio often reserves for the director, most recently with “Dunkirk.” Not only was that film a success at the box office, bringing in $526 million worldwide, but it also earned Nolan an Oscar nomination for director, his first in the category.

The project has become one of the more highly coveted ones in Hollywood, even though most of the industry has been kept in the dark about everything from casting to plot details. One insider described the pic as a massive action blockbuster, which will again be shown in Imax.

Nolan is also producing along with his partner Emma Thomas. Production is set to commence later this year.

Debicki is coming off a huge year, having starred in Netflix’s “Cloverfield Paradox” and “Widows” while also voicing a character in “Peter Rabbit.” She recently wrapped production on the upcoming HBO horror series “Lovecraft Country.” She is repped by CAA and United Agents.

Pattinson has a busy 2019 ahead of him with Robert Eggers’ “The Lighthouse,” “The King” at Netflix, and “Waiting for the Barbarians” all expected to bow this year. He can next be seen in Claire Denis’ “High Life.”

He is repped by WME, the Curtis Brown Group, and 3 Arts Entertainment. The Pattinson news was first reported by Collider.
