How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
That's not how dictators work breh. :francis:
Yeah, what’s lost in all these conspiracy theories of “false flags” and “why would Assad do this NOW” is that animals like Putin and Assad don’t only want power, they want to destroy all hope and rip the heart out of all that MIGHT waver in the loyalty they believe is thier divine right. I’m absolutely sure that NO rebels are questioning whether Assad ordered this chemical strike.

Trump must think he's President Kirkman and that Syria is Kunami.

Aside from a slight reset of Assad's forces, what's the real endgame here? The Kurds aren't going to gain anymore land. The Turks will see to that. The rebels aren't going to take over any territory. If the US abandonment of them hasn't changed. Whatever is left of ISIS just got some breathing room because Trump forced the Syrians to step back. So what did the US accomplish here?

But what about the stuff we can do at home with this money? :damn:

Just another reminder that elections have consequences, not just fukkery. :troll:
Eh this is one case I'm not sure the opposite choice, who I voted for, would do anything different. Military interventionist policy and also ignoring how that hogs up resources that can be used elsewhere seems to have become a bipartisan concept at this point. While they bicker about domestic issues, they tend to be on the same page alot of times with stuff like this.

Hillary was pretty hawkish on this. If anything you can make an argument about campaign rhetoric is that Trump at least lied about being less interventionist. I've always maintain this was bullshyt and anyone else with a brain know it was obviously bullshyt when you're staffing your cabinent with war Hawks .

You'll never know. :manny:

But you certainly would have seen a lower military budget, higher domestic spending, and not 1.5tn in tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations.

How is it a conspiracy theory to ask why a dictator would do the one thing that would threaten his dictatorship? (Espiceally give the recent history of dictators and supposed "weapons of mass destruction")

I am not trolling. I am tin foiling.

I simply do not see the logic, the strategy, or the reason behind such a move.

It seems objectively counter to his own survival. (The bombs falling right now on his assets align with my viewpoint).

Perhaps I'm simply missing the "chess move" here. If so, please explain it.
