Atfer the end of Season 2 when Dean used the last of the "original 13" bullets to kill the prince of hell Azazel.... it was when Ruby taught Sam and Bobby how to modify The Colt to shoot unlimited demon killing bullets. Sam also eventually learned a spell to turn normal bullets into "holy silver" bullets as wellWait did they unlock the unlimited bullets cheat for the Colt?

It can... it killed Azazel. As we learned this season Azazel was one of the 4 princes of hell and the fact that a low level Season 2 Dean was able to kill him with the colt was proof that the boys were destined to greatness
