I just want to start off that it's highly disrespectful this thread hasn't been made yet!!!

Season 8 don't start til Oct but there's still 7 seasons of piff to discuss(Ok well maybe 6 lol) First 5 seasons were And even though the show was supposed to end after season 5 Season 6 was still a solid entry.

Season 7 had so much damn potential but ended up slacking. Still it had a crazy ending and set up that season 8 nicely!!! Crowley da Gawd!

Just wanted to set up a thread for discussion of those Winchesters!

Love this show, but it kinda fell off for me around the middle of season 5, I gotta start watching again to catch up.

IMO the best episodes are the ones where there's a new plot or "mystery" for them to solve each week going from town to town, that's how it was with the first few seasons and now it pretty much is all about the lucifer storyline that continues thru episode to episode. still entertaining tho.

Supernatural is my show, but the one thing I hate is that they tend to kill off all of the gully characters a lot which makes it hard for me to watch sometimes

Not to bring up old shyt but this show was discussed heavily on SOHH. I personally made about 4 threads for every new season that was premiering but like others said the show should have ended after season 5. The Leviathan shyt just didn't do it for me.

I just watched the last few episodes of the past season this weekend that had been sitting my DVR forever and it was utter bullshyt. The Leviathans were terrible bad guys, killing Bobby was stupid, bringing him back as a ghost was even dumber, making Cass brain dead was goofy. Pretty much every step of this past season was terrible. I'm not even sure I will bother watching next season.

Yeah, it fell off a lot to me as well. My wife still watches it and was all gaga over it, mainly cuz of her crush on Dean most likely, but I was like, meh, the storyline has dropped the bar, they've started repeating stuff and it barely makes sense at this point. I stopped somewhere early on in sesason 7. Got like at least 10+ eps. on the dvr that I've been meaning to catch up on, but I'm like

Season 7 could of been crazy if they stuck with the original plotline(Cass being a venegful God) The first 2 epsoides of season 7 were great. But they swore they had to somehow up the scale from Lucifer so they thought the Levithians were the answer.

And honestly if done right it could of been. However season 7 failed cause there was no personal attachment to the brothers. The reason every big bad from season 1 to 5 were great was because they all connected to the brother's story. It was personal. The levithians were just glorified shapeshifters with no real connection to the brothers other then they were a threat to earth.

I think Killing bobby was supposed to make it personal but honestly they killed him with a damn gun...... How lame could u get? However i will say "Death's Door" was a top 10 epsoide of the series!

But the setup to season 8 was great and with Jermey Carver coming back as showrunner i think season 8 gonna bring back Supernatural to it's former glory!

It was a good ep but all it did was piss me off even more that they killed Rufus the season before.

The only thing making me even halfway think about checking it out next season is Carver as showrunner and Sera Gamble being given the boot. Gamble is the reason why this show has sucked balls for the last 2 seasons.

Gamble is a hell of a writer though. She wrote some of the best epsoides. But i agree she knows nothing about running the show.

I agree, some of my favorite episodes are ones she wrote but sometimes event he best writer is the wrong person for the showrunner job.
Its like what happened when Steven Moffat tok over Doctor Who after wrioting some of the show's best episodes. As a writer he was genius but as a showrunner he has turned Who into a bit of a mess. Gamble did the exact same thing to Supernatural.

Season 8 is almost here brehs!!! Trailer just released and damn. IM HYPED!!!!


Also it seems season 8 is the start of a 3 season long arc that will end with the end of the series at season 10! Season 6 and 7 wasn't of the same quality of seasons 1-5 cause there was no concrete plan of where it was heading. Seasons 1-5 had the groundwork laid out from the beggining. With Carver as headrunner and having a solid 3 year plan to end the series this show is very capable of reaching it's glory days!
