While it would be a funny turn of events… NOTHING about Greg screams “Let’s make this guy CEO” to this group of people. Even when CEOs are just puppets they have a lot more competence than Greg. If Mattson or Mencken just want someone they can control at the helm of the company, Tom is right there and a much better choice.
