Breh is literally the same person as he was at the start of the series. :dead:

Roman was always an annoying right wing edgelord prick. Don’t tell me them sob stories about being put in a cage had y’all soft on him.

this the same mf that taunted a kid with a life changing cheque if he could hit a home run and tore it up in front of him. Even logan thought that was fukked up

watching last night’s ep again…about halfway thru and jeezus christ this is an extremely tense fukking episode…the reasons are obvious but they capture it so well…shyt watching it has me uptight lol…I initially mistook ken being quiet for him low key freaking out but he’s just taking everything in and making sure not to commit to anything/anyone too early until he gets as much information as he can…but shyt everyone is on edge and wired up this ep lol

yeah I can’t believe I forgot about that scene when I saw it again…first season makes it clear who these characters are and even tho they’ve experienced some growth they are still very much these same characters

They are crazy disconnected. Every time shiv has sex with tom its always a power play. These people do not have normal interactions with people not even with each other. Even Kendall who takes Ls and is seemingly more human is a ghoul and he cant say shyt about his dad anymore because he outchea making deals with far right mfs

is ken sincerely opening up to shiv here or is he using this moment to feel her out?

(when he opens up to her about eventually wanting to run the company solo and that he’s threatened by mencken being roman’s guy and he’s asking her where she stands on mattson?”

any thoughts? maybe a mixture of both?

feels like this whole ep is a supreme battle between the last bit of “decency” ken wants to try and hold onto vs. getting one more step closer to his ultimate dream of running the company
The CEO......or the kids

that victory speech from mencken sounded extremely sincere…I wouldn’t be surprised if he fukks over the brothers and not squash the deal…him “bringing up” that soda to logan (when really he just snatched it from the next room at the last minute) was always a scene that I remembered…like dude is a little bit too willing to play the role of the suck up/be subservient especially for a man of his position but he seems far more shrewd than he’s letting on

what did he mean/why did he say “some people just can’t cut a deal, fikret” …?

gonna google it but I totally misheard the line last night…I thought he said “some people can’t cut a deal without regret” lmao

*edit*

I didn’t know fikret was his driver’s name lmao

but here’s a decent convo here about it…enough for me to pick and choose what makes sense

I like the response the best…

It was a darkly comic self-aware joke to his driver about the conversation he just had with Rava and how she didn't agree to any pitch to come over and see the kids that he offered. He's comparing that conversation to a "deal". Making it the final line really stings you with proof that Kendall is embracing the dark. He's internalizing and coping with Rava's rejection to come see the kids. And of course the clean poetry of it isn't lost on the comment section here as it can also be comparative to actual dealings from earlier in the episode.
