It is funny to me how much the fandom of this show views greg as this audience surrogate though. I like his character but he has always been no better than a lot of the other characters besides being really goofy and incompetent which made him endearing.

I think logan knows everyone is pushing greg around and is the only one looking out for him. Also. Greg is not a spoiled fukk that has an agenda. He wants to he ok but logan knows everyone else is schemin and greg has to deal with the scheming and is trying his best to deal with his family.
Greg does what hes told from everyone. Learning as he goes. The kids never learn. They keep fukking themselves.
Plus i dint think the logan/ewan beef is really as deep as they all protray. The way they fight are as real brothers. While logans own kids dont understand that line at all and would cut each others throats at first notice.

Im glad i watched this ep, watched the 3 seasons and rewatched for clarity because shiv is sooooo dumb. Im catching all these lil moves whete she called it wring over and over.

The thing is, Greg DOES have agenda. From way back in the pilot episode he revealed to that his goal was to eventually be put in charge of Parks.
He's as greedy as the rest of them, he's just REALLY good at being sneaky about it with his goofy act. (I just realized he's similar to Nan Pierce in that way)
As for potentially giving up Ewan's money, it was all part of an attempt to remain on Logans good side for a shot at even more money.
Been waiting on HBO to drop their real heat. Real performances, real writing. Not that other videogame bullshyt nikkas was slurping. The real “best show on tv”. Shots fired.

I think it was over exactly what logan said
Uncle fun or gramps grump. It was the one time in entire show that logan showed genuine concern; so rare it caught me totally off guard. That wasnt a lie like he did to his kids like telling shiv shes the smartest one. Or that kendall did a good job during interview to congress.
250 million is a LOT to give up. He could have easily worked a dead end job and wait til grandpop dies, but he rather work now snd enjoy his new life.
Of course greg wants to do well. Thats barely an agenda. Hes surrounded by people who are winning and could help him win. Theres nothing wrong with wanting to do well. Logan wanted to become rich, gregs in same position. Hes constantly being pushed and pulled in different directions and learning whos a POS and whos not, what to do when.
But i dont think its an act at all. His genuine vibe makes it easy to deal with him. The same guy who was puking in costume and a total fukk up, is whos part of the disgusting brothers. He just got a haircut and a job now.
