The two most common: PSLF forgives debt after 10 years of payments.well then what am i missing here
Income Driven-Repayment (IDR) forgives debt after I believe 20 years.
And then you have those who are disabled getting their debt forgiven. Defrauded borrowers in the last 2 years have gotten tens of billions wiped away.
The HERO's Act has forgiven student debt before.
The only difference right now is the volume. 16M applications are in.
