She makes good points. But that last tweet is trash. Cause many folks who graduated in the 2000s (with tons of loans) who got washed out twice and never ever recovered. I knew kats who graduated in 2001 (with loans) and got washed out cause of 9/11 and the economy crash. Then it took them years to get a job and they got washed out again in 2008 and never recovered. Some of them were homeless with degrees.
I think this last generation doesn't realize how fukked up it was to come out in the early 2000s (lines for blocks for companies needing a couple of employees) and never able to gain ground because two of the worst economical crashes came in 7 years under one of the most pathetic administrations and presidents watch. Dude literally did nothing during both crashes and the last crash set back and watched the entire house burn down.
Post 2008 graduates were lucky enough to take part in one of the best economies under two of the most progressive presidents in the last 50 years when it came to so called helping out the little man and woman (Obama and Biden). Comparing her situation to that of pre 2008 graduates is not very insightful.
