Trailer looks dope, and I like the show so I hate to say it....but they need to wrap this shyt up.
Unless they deviate wildly from the formula of the last 3 seasons. This looks like it does but
I just don't have faith in a show reinventing itself this late in the game. Hopefully they prove me wrong though.

1 > 3 > 2 imo.
They haven't confirmed it being the last season, and wouldn't surprise me if they do at least one more.

They're too old for there to be a Season 5 and keep the same charm, but that would be an interesting take. Would they even remain a squad as young adults? Hell, I guess they'd go with the Goonies 2 proposed script.
What was the goonies 2 idea
The first time Donner pitched it, it was The Search for Sloth. The gang were in college and came back to reunite when Sloth was missing...something along those lines. It was going to be a comic book. There was another pitch a few years later about them reuniting when Sloth died, but they were older and they end up having to go on one last adventure. Another was the kids of The Goonies going on their own adventure. I have no idea what Adam Goldberg's pitch was, but he's been writing it for damn near 15 years.
But just as the Goonies, Stranger Things only works with that cast of characters. They can expand the crew, but they cannot use an entirely new crop of characters. And does the gang get a Team Name this season?
