Now you are mentioning ppl in the mid 20s too? :why:so cats born in 1990-91 would have nostalgia watching 80s influenced movies or shows? What a clown
You're such a terrible poster :russ:

Yes,they would, retard,if that's what they watched. I'm 30. I have friends that are as young as 25 that grew up watching 80s shyt because maybe this is a foreign concept to you,but they have older siblings and parents :ohhh: and they would have them watch that shyt.

Transformers g1 came out before I was born and yet I grew up watching it :ohhh: and yet when the transformers film came I had nostalgia hearing Optimus voice again:ohhh:

Movies and shows don't stop existing :ohhh:

My parents were big fans of different strokes, Dallas and a bunch of 70s shyt I have an older bro thats 40 now who watched Scooby doo and sesame st epis for that period. All this shyt and music was on heavy rotation when I was growing up through all that I would never be foolish enough to use the word nostalgia If a 70s themed show was made today for the simple reason I never existed in that time. It was a dumb statement ppl in their 30s and upwards could have nostalgia for the 80s anything younger is a stretch

So in your opinion the only way someone can have nostalgia for star wars is if they were born when the film's came out :dead:

You better tell all the kids who grew up watching it then 20 years after it came out that they can't have nostalgic feelings for them :mjlol:

Of course you can, nostalgia refers to YOUR experiences in the past; not to what other people did (in this case other people being filmmakers etc).

I'm an '86 baby and I remember my brother getting the old Star Wars trilogy on VHS for Christmas when I was a kid. So we watched that shyt. The old Star Wars movies are now a part of my childhood and I feel a sense of nostalgia for movies released before I was born. At the same time I was like 11 when the Phantom Menace hype started so I feel nostalgia both for that movie and the life I had during that time.

So you're right that I can't feel nostalgic for living in the 70's, but I can feel nostalgic for the trends in music /film because they might have had an impact on my childhood.

It's the same for Stranger Things. People in their 20's likely grew up watching things that their older siblings or parents or tv channels were still rocking from their own generations.

:mindblown:

I guess I am just different, when a human being says they watch stranger things or something and it gives them nostalgia I assume that statement is from real life recollection of the 80s (having watched 80s shyt) not any point and time they might have peeped 80s memorabilia but whatever dude to each his own. And that star wars example is a different conversation entirely
