You can't seriously believe this. But in any event, the Celtics would not have been able to sell-out on KD with the warriors roster/system so I don't see kd struggling at all against them with more spaced out defense. The Nets don't have a dryamond green to make the right reads nor do they have guys like Poole and wiggins that can get you 20 as 3rd/4th options. And at the end of the day kd is a better finals performer than steph so I don't see why kd couldn't win with them
The Nets lost by 1 point, 7 points, 6 points and 6 points in the four games against the Celtics, so how could you possibly try to manipulate this into Durant not having the proper help when he left his shyt all up in the bed when his support cast was still good enough to give the Nets a fighting chance in every game? Why bring up the help Steph had when he didn't have anyone even remotely as good as Kyrie on his squad? Why bring up the the help Steph had when the closest guy he had to consistent offensive help was Wiggins who only averaged 18 points on 51 TS% (which is below league-average efficiency)?
Why bring up the Warriors system like Steph isn't the reason for why it exists in the first place? When has KD ever demonstrated he can create the same environment/culture? Who joined whose team because they couldn't win with the team they were the nucleus of?
And why are you speaking about the Finals as if it's some mythological stage that's inherently different to any other? Do you seem to think because it was the Finals that KD would somehow get superpowers to perform better against the Celtics than he did against the Celtics in the 1st round?
