Peter's sophomore year at Midtown Science and Technology School.

Peter is attending on a scholarship, while Manuel's tuition is paid by his father. Manuel dislikes Peter for being poor and still upstaging him.

Peter's neighbor Michelle is his best friend and neighbor. She's a young woman from a working-class family and doesn't attend Midtown.

Peter joins an academic declathon team that includes the characters played by Michael Barbieri, Abraham Attah and Isabella Amara.

Martin Starr, Selenis Levya and Hannibal Buress are teachers. Kenneth Choi is the Principal.

Peter has a crush on Laura Harrier's character, who is a Senior and one of the most popular girls in school, and wants to take her to the Homecoming dance. Manuel says he has no shot, and they begin competing to win her affections.

The Vulture is the main villain. He creates an advanced biomechanical flight suit using reverse-engineered Chitauri technology.

The secondary villain is the Tinkerer, a brilliant engineer who helps Toomes build his suit.

It's a low-scale movie, about Peter struggling to juggle his private life and his responsabilities as Spider-Man. There's no world-threatening scenario, no massive battles, it's basically an 80's John Hughes movie with a superhero tint.

Tony Stark appears mostly as Peter's mentor and gives him gadgets, including a new suit with retractable armpit webbings for aerodynamics.

RUMOR: Sony Planning A SILVER SABLE Movie With THE INVISIBLE WOMAN Screenwriter Abi Morgan

This was first mentioned in those infamous Sony email leaks, and now rumor has it that the studio is making moves again. On this week's episode of Meet The Movie Press, former The Wrap editor Jeff Sneider says he's heard that Sony still want to move forward with a Silver Sable movie, and are talking with screenwriter Abi Morgan (Shame, The Hour, The Invisible Woman,The Iron Lady) with a view to her penning the script.

Silver Sable is a marvel Comics antihero/mercenary who has been both an ally and enemy of Spider-Man and several other characters. She has no actual superpowers, so it might be the case that Sony is interested in developing a Punisher-like female-led comic book movie that would eventually crossover with the rebooted Spider-Man/Marvel universe
