I enjoyed this. Had low expectations coming in but it overly exceeded it compared to other underwhelming Marvel flicks.

Doubt it because he's a new character entirely and we never seen him on the big screen, depends on if he's in the same universe as peter

Dope I recommended it.

Agree fully, that scene had everything. Tom Holland NAILED it as he genuinely seemed terrified, that shyt is like my worst nightmare so I could relate.

The Spider-Man parts were really good

In all serious I thought it could've used less stark and most jokes didn't land with me but best Spider-Man movie I've seen

Edit they actually pulled off Marisa Tomei looking older

They're selling his toys and the gambino easter egg lets us know he at least exists so we'll see. Would miles techinally fall under the sony umbrella because he is another spiderman or marvel because he's a new character?

Sounds like a legal battle from hell but maybe that was part of the deal to give life to new characters.

Did the details of their partnership ever leak in its entirety or just rumored

Probably marvel because he is new. But I think Sony just letting them use spiderman but tom doesn't have to be in Sony movies.

I like this more but the one thing spider man 2 has over this is it's a deeper story and it's themes are better laid out and paid off in the end. This is a coming of age story which is awesome but seeing Peter grapple with sacrifice and loss and discovering what it means to be a hero and even questioning whether he wants to be a hero and rejecting that is a powerful story and has more resonance. I hope as this series progresses they tell deeper stories much like the Harry Potter series
