God I hope not. There's not a damn thing from that cartoon that should be involved in any adaptation of spidey going forward. Period. Ever. In anything. God should do us all a favor and smite that thing
I ain't mad at you a damn bit, but we so far apart on this :damn:

Lowkey, the formula is there to differentiate it from the prior Spidey joints. I think it should go 4th wall breaking, but then basic nikkas gon be talmbout "Oh, it's just jocking Deadpool" and shyt, before deciding whether it's good or not.

That's just me, cuz Spidey my Marvel MVP. I need something that clearly separates him from the others, and not just being in the MCU. Other options exist, tho :ehh:

I'd fukk around and die a diabetic death if they ever announce a Maximum Carnage adaptation :ohlawd:

I wrote a treatment for a maximum carnage movie once. It's basically the dark knight which is what they seemed to be trying to go for but it got lost in the sauce. The core issue is Petes morality and how far he's willing to go or not and what's he willing to do when the world around him is telling him that he's wrong and his way of doing things is outdated.

And I don't mind them breaking the fourth wall at all it's just the storytelling on that cartoon kicks me in the balls. Like it's just too silly for me to get into it or invest in it, which has been a cornerstone of every spider man cartoon. But Joey Q said he wanted to make a spider man cartoon for kids. I ain't mad at him. It's just not for me

Interesting :jbhmm:

The thing about the hero storytelling is how traditional (outdated) story lines still work, when both storyteller and audience go into it ready to give themselves to it. Creed took a tired ass formula, and found a way to dress it up in a dope way that resonated with today's audience. Would love to see what that treatment looked like, and to share ideas.

I'm not the most cohesive writer, but I'm a great idea guy, if anyone needs it :ehh:
